I know how you carry your keys at night
There's a ridiculous pissing-contest debate over who can be a woman and what qualifies a woman. It reminds me so much of the Olympics and how high-performing female athletes must somehow be men due to their astonishing performances. In track and field events, women have been defined by "nude parade" genital checks, chromosomal testing, testosterone testing--limited at 10 nmol/L and later at a lower 5 nmol/L.1 What makes a woman is arbitrary, and "history shows. . . the athletes who qualify as female change depending on the criteria used to draw that line."1 My design offers an alternative definition of women, not based on what you look like at your most intimate or what a man can siphon from your body to confirm his bias, but based on a shared experience of walking alone, keys in hand.
